JAKARTA — The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) rose 1.56% to 6,374.91 in Wednesday’s trading (23/9), supported by a number of positive domestic and global market factors. Total trading value on Indonesia’s stock market reached IDR 12.90 trillion, involving 36.79 billion shares. Trading frequency stood at 1.92 million transactions. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) recorded the highest trading values, at IDR 655.58 billion and IDR 606.39 billion, respectively. BBRI shares rose 0.31%, while BBCA gained 1.61%. Analysts at Phintraco Sekuritas said the JCI’s gains were supported by global crude oil prices, which fell back below USD 100 a barrel.
