Shares of Moderna MRNA rose 12% yesterday, even climbing to a new 52-week high of $176.86. The rally came as investors digested the company's announcement that it will present detailed data from the phase III INTerpath-001 study on intismeran autogene, its personalized mRNA cancer therapy, at the European Society for Medical Oncology ("ESMO") Congress next month. The therapy is being developed in collaboration with Merck MRK. The findings will be presented on Oct. 24 in a Presidential Symposium, a session at ESMO that highlights cutting-edge and potentially practice-changing clinical research. The presentation is expected to provide investors with detailed data beyond the top-line results Moderna reported last month.
