Novo's Oral Wegovy Just Revealed a Surprising Weight-Loss Signal

Novo Nordisk (NVO, Financials) is getting another data point for its oral Wegovy program, with real-world study suggesting that those who recently gained weight can get higher weight-loss effects from the medication.The observational study involved more than 3,000 patients who had not previously used GLP-1 medications. Those who had gained weight in the past five years were more likely to be super-responders, meaning they lost at least 10 percent of their body weight.By day 60, the super-responders had lost an average of 7.2% of their body weight, and by day 90, they had lost 11.4%. The group also had higher reductions in blood pressure than people who lost less weight.
