Micron Technology (MU) is putting another strong piece in place for its global artificial intelligence (AI) expansion, this time in India. The semiconductor maker is investing $2.75 billion in an assembly and test facility in Sanand, Gujarat, giving its production network a fresh foothold in one of the world's key technology markets. The project, supported by Micron and government partners, will turn advanced DRAM and NAND wafers into finished memory and storage products for customers worldwide.
