DoorDash says it 'screwed up' payments to 264K NYC workers, agrees to $131.5M settlement. Most will get less than $50

Getty Images DoorDash (NASDAQ:DASH) is paying $131.5 million after New York City's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection found it underpaid more than 260,000 delivery workers, including some who were paid late or never paid at all for work they'd already done. More than $115 million of that goes back to workers. But spread across the roughly 264,000 people DoorDash says will get a check, the typical payout comes out to about the price of a takeout order for two. "Simply put, we screwed up," the company said in a statement, while insisting the mistakes weren't intentional.
