This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of National Defense , according to Ukrinform. The ministry said its radar surveillance system detected an aerial target traveling within Ukrainian territory near the border with Romania, in northern Botoșani County. Two Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft, conducting Air Policing Service, scrambled from the 86th Borcea Air Base to monitor the situation. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations subsequently issued RO-Alert messages to residents in the northern parts of Tulcea, Botoșani and Suceava counties. The aerial target remained in Romanian airspace for approximately four minutes before crashing near the settlement of Solca in Suceava County. It caused no casualties, fire or material damage.
