Montana's unemployment rate remains at 3.2% - Sidney Herald

SIDNEY — Richland County’s unemployment rate remained at 2.4% in August, unchanged from a year ago, according to the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. The county ranked 18th among Montana’s 56 counties for its unemployment rate. Richland County had an estimated 5,692 employed workers in August, down 65 jobs from the same month last year. The county’s 2.4% unemployment rate was below Montana’s seasonally unadjusted statewide rate of 3.0%. Statewide, Montana’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 3.2% in August, compared with 4.1% nationally. Total employment in Montana increased by 482 workers in August, while the labor force grew by 177. The number of unemployed workers fell by 305.
