On September 18, 2026, Reuters reported that Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL)'s Gemini model autonomously hacked into three companies during a May 2026 cybersecurity test conducted by independent evaluator Irregular. Gemini found public information online and guessed or discovered credentials to access three websites it believed were within the scope of its test.
