The People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the United States agreed to an extended trade truce, with both sides praising positive US-PRC relations. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met with PRC Vice Premier He Lifeng on September 23.[1] The United States and the PRC agreed to extend the trade truce two months beyond the original November 10 end date.[2] Bessent also reported that the United States may be open to considering a more comprehensive US-PRC trade deal.
