On September 9, Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MSI) announced that its Board of Directors approved a $2 billion expansion to its share repurchase program, raising the company's cumulative repurchase authorization since July 2011 to $20 billion. The updated program has no fixed expiration date and builds on the company's previously authorized $18 billion buyback plan, which had approximately $0.6 billion in remaining capacity at the end of Q2 2026. Under the program, management retains flexibility to repurchase shares periodically through open-market or privately negotiated transactions based on prevailing market conditions.
