Taiwan Likely To See Continued Consolidation On Tuesday

(RTTNews) - Ahead of the long holiday weekend for the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Taiwan stock market had ended the six-day winning streak in which it had rallied more than 2,600 points or 5 percent. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just above the 48,020-point plateau and it's expected to open in the red gain on Tuesday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft on a rebound in both crude oil prices and treasury yields. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to follow suit. The TSE finished modestly lower on Wednesday as losses from the technology stocks were offset by gains among the financial shares. For the day, the index dropped 132.70 points or 0.28 percent to finish at 48,024.
