OCI Global H1 Net Profit Plunges; Combination With Orascom Construction To Close In Q4

(RTTNews) - OCI Global (OCI.AS, OCINY.PK), which is in deal to be combined with Orascom Construction Plc, reported sharply lower profit in the first half of fiscal 2026, mainly reflecting lower one-time gains and an impairment charge at OCI Nitrogen. In the first half, net profit attributable to shareholders was $1 million, compared with $343.1 million a year ago. Earnings per share attributable to owners of the Company were $0.004, compared to $1.626 a year ago. OCI Nitrogen segment reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of $175 million, compared with a net loss of $12 million a year ago. OCI Nitrogen has been classified as held for sale as of June 1 following the deal with AGROFERT a.s.
