Latvia has also begun practical checks: since September 16, four grain samples have been collected and sent to a laboratory in France for testing. Two more samples are planned. “Russia must not be able to legitimize on international markets grain stolen from temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. It is important to move from documenting the problem to systematic checks of the origin of such products. I am grateful to our partners in the Baltic states for their readiness to work on practical verification mechanisms,” Vysotskyi said.
