(RTTNews) - Tuesday, Decoy Therapeutics (DCOY) said preclinical pharmacokinetic data support once-weekly intranasal dosing of its lead program DCOY-CoV, designed to protect against endemic human coronaviruses. DCOY-CoV is an investigational antiviral designed to target conserved mechanisms across coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and common cold coronaviruses. In preclinical studies, a single intranasal dose maintained drug levels above designed therapeutic concentrations in nasal and lung tissues for up to seven days, supporting its potential for extended respiratory protection. The company said the program is being developed for high-risk populations, including immunocompromised individuals and patients with chronic respiratory conditions.
