Lilly says Zepbound at higher doses tops Novo’s Wegovy HD

Eli Lilly (LLY [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/LLY]) on Tuesday announced that higher doses of its blockbuster obesity therapy Zepbound generated additional weight loss compared with Wegovy HD, the high-dose version of Novo’s (NVO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVO]) rival GLP-1 therapy semaglutide. Citing results from a new indirect comparison between the popular injectables, the U.S. drugmaker said that Zepbound 10 mg and 15 mg generated higher body weight reductions over 72 weeks compared with Wegovy HD. According to the analysis, patients on Zepbound 15 mg and 10 mg, respectively, recorded 4.5% and 3.
