Eli Lilly (LLY [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/LLY]) on Tuesday announced that higher doses of its blockbuster obesity therapy Zepbound generated additional weight loss compared with Wegovy HD, the high-dose version of Novo’s (NVO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVO]) rival GLP-1 therapy semaglutide. Citing results from a new indirect comparison between the popular injectables, the U.S. drugmaker said that Zepbound 10 mg and 15 mg generated higher body weight reductions over 72 weeks compared with Wegovy HD.
