(RTTNews) - Stocks are turning in a lackluster performance during trading on Thursday following the upward move seen over the two previous sessions. The major averages have spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. Currently, the major averages are narrowly mixed. While the Dow is up 46.38 points or 0.1 percent at 39,174.18, the Nasdaq is down 10.85 points or 0.1 percent at 17,794.30 and the S&P 500 is down 5.77 points or 0.1 percent at 5,472.13. The choppy trading on Wall Street comes as traders seem reluctant to make significant moves ahead of the release of key inflation data on Friday.
