'A common problem': Oura delays its IPO

Oura's decision to delay its IPO is a sign that the window for public markets may be narrowing as rising bond yields and high oil prices keep the market on edge. The company announced on Tuesday that it's postponing its previously announced initial public offering on the Nasdaq (^IXIC), "despite strong demand, due to uncertainty in the IPO market." Broader macroeconomic volatility is almost certainly a driving factor, said Avery Marquez, director of investment strategies at Renaissance Capital. "The recent spike in yields and resumed rate hikes have put some downward pressure on growth companies, and that's a majority of the companies in the IPO market," Marquez told Yahoo Finance on Tuesday.
