Archer Aviation Inc. ACHR is using a "golden manufacturing line" approach to improve the transition from early Midnight builds to high-volume production. The strategy allows Archer to use its Silicon Valley facility for final assembly during the new product introduction phase while preparing its Georgia facility for larger-scale manufacturing. The approach could help Archer identify and address production issues before expanding manufacturing volumes. Lessons learned from the early Midnight builds are being applied to the design and ramp-up of the high-volume manufacturing operation in Georgia. This creates a process through which manufacturing experience from early aircraft can be incorporated into later production activities.
