The meeting took place on the sidelines of the EU Council on Agriculture and Fisheries (AGRIFISH), Ukrinform reported, citing the Agrarian Policy Ministry. The sides discussed Ukraine’s farm exports and the need to develop additional alternative routes given limited operations at seaports. The German side backed efforts to find new logistics corridors to secure exports of Ukrainian farm products. Vysotskyi stressed that Ukraine must expand the “Solidarity Lanes,” in particular by using longer routes through Germany and other EU countries. “For Ukrainian farmers it is critically important to preserve the ability to export their produce. That is why we are working with European partners to expand alternative logistics.
