(RTTNews) - The Malaysia stock market has moved lower in five straight sessions, slumping more than 40 points or 2.5 percent along the way. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now sits just above the 1,640-point plateau and it's expected to open under pressure again on Wednesday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is flat to lower ahead of key U.S. inflation data. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to follow that lead. The KLCI finished sharply lower on Tuesday following losses from the financial shares, plantation stocks and industrial issues. For the day, the index slumped 26.06 points or 1.56 percent to finish at 1,643.96 after trading between 1,643.36 and 1,665.32.
