This comes as public opposition to power-hungry AI data centers grows across Europe, while energy prices rise. Lighthouse Reports, a Netherlands-based non-profit conducting cross-border investigations of alleged government and corporate wrongdoing, accuses the Commission of building a "wall of silence" about energy consumption.
