CBA interest rate decision - CommBank

Following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) decision to increase the official cash rate by 0.25% per annum (p.a.), CBA will increase home loan variable interest rates by 0.25% p.a. All CommBank home loan variable rate changes announced today will be effective 9 October 2026. CBA’s Group Executive Retail Banking, Angus Sullivan said the RBA’s decision comes amid persistent inflation and continued global uncertainty, both contributing to broader economic pressures. “Each customer’s circumstances are different, and our teams are ready to provide support, help them understand their options and consider what might work best for their situation,” Sullivan said.
