Under Indiana Governor Mike Braun’s leadership, Indiana’s unemployment rate has fallen to 3.3 percent, positioning the Hoosier state among the region’s lowest and well below the national rate of 4.1 percent. Since Gov. Braun took office, the state’s unemployment rate has declined by 0.7 percentage points and reached its lowest level since May 2023. Indiana also continues to outperform its neighboring states, with unemployment rates of 4.7 percent in Kentucky, 4.7 percent in Illinois and 5 percent in Michigan. Ohio is tied with Indiana at 3.3 percent. Indiana’s low unemployment rate is another indicator of the state’s economic momentum being driven by Gov. Braun.
