Connect Biopharma Advances Rademikibart Toward Phase 3 In COPD

(RTTNews) - Wednesday, Connect Biopharma Holdings (CNTB) reported positive topline results from a global Phase 2 study of rademikibart as an add-on treatment for acute exacerbations in adults with COPD and type 2 inflammation. Rademikibart is an investigational anti-IL-4Ra antibody being developed to target type 2 inflammation in respiratory diseases. Through Week 4, rademikibart reduced treatment failure by 81%, new moderate-to-severe COPD exacerbations by 85%, and new emergency department visits or hospital admissions by 100%, compared with placebo. The treatment was well tolerated, with no new safety signals. Connect plans to engage with the FDA on a potential Phase 3 registrational program for rademikibart in COPD.
