Meta's (META) popular Muse AI agent continues to gain steam, topping 5 million downloads as of Wednesday, according to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower. The milestone comes less than a month after Meta launched the service on Sept. 8. It is currently only available in the US and Canada. For comparison, OpenAI's (OPAI.PVT) ChatGPT reached 5 million downloads in 56 days. It took SpaceX's (SPCX) Grok and Anthropic's (ANTH.PVT) Claude 103 days and 492 days, respectively, to hit the mark. It's worth noting that ChatGPT was the first mainstream generative AI chatbot, launched in Nov. 2022, which could have contributed to its comparatively slow start. Muse also remains the number one app on both Apple's App Store and Google Play Store.
