Tripadvisor, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRIP) is a website almost everyone planning a trip has used, and almost nobody owns. The brand is famous. The stock is not. The shares closed Monday at $8.41, roughly half what they were worth a year ago, and they trade at about half of annual sales. That is the kind of pricing that draws value investors in, and it has drawn them before. The discount is real. So is the reason for it.
