Euro zone manufacturing activity picked up pace in September, reaching its quickest expansion in over four years, a survey showed, as steady demand lifted new orders and production to multi-year peaks even amid the persistent Middle East conflict. The S&P Global Eurozone Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index climbed for a third month in a row, reaching 52.9 in September versus 52.7 in August. That marked its strongest reading since May 2022 and came in above a flash estimate of 52.7. Anything above 50.0 points to expansion.
