The family of a woman who was killed by an immigration agent in Minneapolis in January has announced two lawsuits against the US government and members of the Trump administration. Renee Good was killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer during a sweep of the city targeting immigrants and criminals that was called Operation Metro Surge. One of the suits blames the government for her death, claiming the operation created "an unprecedented environment for state-sponsored violence", a lawyer for the family, Antonio Romanucci, said during a news conference on Thursday. The White House and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have not yet commented on the lawsuits.
