But with higher gas prices, expensive insurance and customers cutting back on delivery, some workers say the numbers no longer make sense. In a recent video, YouTuber Zac Rios looked at what drivers are earning from apps such as DoorDash, Uber, Lyft and Instacart. One DoorDash worker, who said they turned to the app full-time after getting laid off from another job, estimated they were making about $10 to $20 an hour. "It's exhausting when it's your full-time job," the worker said. "I can't wait to find real employment.
