Kardemir, a Turkish manufacturer of long products, has announced plans to implement an investment project in the renewable energy sector. Together with its subsidiaries, the company will build solar power stations with a combined capacity of 120.5 MWp (92.5 MW AC). This was reported by SteelOrbis. The total investment is estimated at approximately 3.96 billion Turkish lira ($80.76 million), and the facilities are scheduled to come into operation in 2028. The project involves the construction of a solar power station with a capacity of 85 MW / 110.5 MW peak for the Kardemir plant itself, 5 MW / 6.5 MW peak for the subsidiary Kardökmak A.Ş., and 2.5 MW / 3.5 MW peak for Karçel A.Ş.
