AI spending to drive another strong S&P 500 earnings season, Goldman Sachs says

Consensus forecasts call for S&P 500 (SP500 [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SP500]) earnings per share to rise 27% from a year earlier in the third quarter, according to an Oct. 2 report led by Goldman Sachs strategist Ben Snider. That would mark a slowdown from the 33% growth recorded in the second quarter after excluding accounting distortions.
