Russian war criminal accused of torturing Ukrainian POWs killed in Russia

According to Ukrinform, journalist and blogger Denis Kazansky reported this on Telegram . He specified that Syromyatnikov tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war at Penal Colony No. 1 in the Tula region. It has been established that in 2022, Syromyatnikov participated in the torture of at least 50 Ukrainians. He and his colleagues beat the prisoners with their hands, feet, batons, plastic pipes, and hammers, and used stun guns. Syromyatnikov himself also tortured people with electric shocks. Local media reported on his death, emphasizing the sadist’s role in the patriotic education of Russian youth. As previously reported, Syromiatnikov fought as part of the 51st Airborne Regiment and returned to the Tula region after being wounded.
