Media reports: Russian-struck ship near Odesa drifts unmanned 40 miles from Bulgaria

This was reported by the Bulgarian publication “ Pro News Dobrich ,” according to Ukrinform. It is noted that on October 4, personnel from the Bulgarian Air Force and Navy conducted an operation to locate and assess the vessel’s position in the Black Sea. Two Cougar helicopters and Navy specialists participated in the operation. The operation lasted from 11:30 a.m. to 1:10 p.m., and its goal was to determine the vessel’s location and condition. “The vessel is located 40 nautical miles east of Cape Shabla; it is unmanned and unable to maneuver,” the report states. The publication noted that on August 5, near Odesa, the EMIL was struck by a Russian drone. A fire broke out on board, technical systems failed, and the vessel lost its ability to maneuver.
