A weak September jobs report lowered the odds of another Fed hike this month, and bitcoin’s rally toward its late-September peak ran out of steam short of $87,000. The bitcoin price pushed back toward its eight-month high early Monday before stalling, as traders weighed a weak U.S. jobs report that cut the odds of another Federal Reserve rate hike this month. Bitcoin topped $86,600 in Asian trading, according to CoinGecko data , about $500 short of its late-September peak above $87,000, the highest level since January. It then slipped to about $85,500 before recovering to around $86,250 at the time of writing, up 1.4% over 24 hours.
