The Federal Constitutional Court — Germany's equivalent of the US Supreme Court — still enjoys the most trust among the population of any branch of government, but that trust is slipping, according to recent surveys. A new survey by the pollsters YouGov , commissioned to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the court, found that about two-thirds (66%) of Germans trust the Federal Constitutional Court. This was significantly more than the other major branches of the country's government system: The Bundesrat , the upper house of the German parliament, scored 47%, the lower house of parliament, the Bundestag 38%, and the Federal Government itself 29%.
