Electric vehicle (EV) and tech giant Tesla TSLA delivered 486,532 vehicles (comprising 478,237 units of Model 3/Y and 8,295 Other models) in the third quarter of 2026, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 471,262 units. Deliveries increased 1.3% sequentially but declined 2.1% on a year-over-year basis. It was Tesla's strongest quarter for EV sales since the third quarter of 2025, when U.S. buyers rushed to purchase before federal EV tax credits expired, prompting the automaker to see a temporary surge in demand. Through the first nine months of 2026, Tesla delivered 1,324,681 vehicles. It needs just more than 311,448 units in the fourth quarter to break the streak of annual declines, which looks very achievable.
