The EU also hopes that two clusters in Ukraine's EU accession negotiations could be opened as early as next week. European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos made the statement at a press conference in Brussels following the EU–Moldova Association Summit, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. Kos said that they were well aware of the procedures in the Verkhovna Rada but hoped that the law amending legislation on national minorities would be adopted. She explained that, following its adoption, EU member states would need to accelerate the procedure for opening additional negotiating clusters.
