FT: Hungary may lift veto on next stage of Ukraine's EU accession talks this week

The Financial Times stated this, citing two officials, Ukrinform reports. According to the officials, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar has instructed Hungarian diplomats not to block the sending of letters to Ukraine and Moldova concerning the possible opening of the next two negotiating clusters during working meetings this week. The clusters cover issues related to the internal market and competitiveness. According to the officials, this is a procedural but symbolically important step forward. At the same time, Hungary's final political support for opening the clusters will depend on whether the Verkhovna Rada adopts a law on October 12 expanding the educational rights of national minorities.
