The Emmy Awards will leave its long-running broadcast network rotation for Amazon Prime Video in 2027 under a six-year exclusive global streaming deal, the e-commerce giant and the Television Academy announced on Tuesday. Under the agreement, Prime Video will stream the annual awards honoring the best in TV for free to all audiences, including nonsubscribers, in more than 240 countries and territories. Prime Video's rights to the Emmys will begin with the 2027 ceremony. NBC, owned by Comcast , aired the 2026 ceremony on Sept. 14. In the release, Prime Video was named as the "permanent home" for the Emmys, in contrast to the rotating agreement in place years prior.
