The former Labour prime minister has been appointed as an advisor to Skydance's board on the back of a blockbuster merger between studios Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery. Sir Tony's role was confirmed late on Tuesday night after the megadeal was officially finalised. The new Hollywood giant, rebranded as Skydance, will control a sweeping entertainment empire spanning streaming app HBO, the Harry Potter franchise, and US news channels including CNN and CBS.
