Apple eyes Oct. 13 smart home push with LG-partnered devices: report

[Apple Store Interior with Customers and Staff in Shanghai] * Apple's (AAPL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AAPL]) upcoming push into smart home devices will include a doorbell, thermostat, and other accessories developed through an unusual partnership with LG Electronics Inc., according to a _Bloomberg News_ report. * The products will be part of an ecosystem of devices that work with Apple’s new smart home hub, as well as an upgraded HomePod mini and fresh TV set-top box, the report said. * The upcoming line of devices also includes a deadbolt lock, outdoor security camera, and a floodlight camera. Several of the devices will reportedly come with support for the smart home protocols.
