Eurozone Producer Inflation Hits 8.2 Percent, Highest Since February 2023 - VOI.ID

JAKARTA - Inflation in industrial producer prices in the eurozone jumped to 8.2 percent on an annual basis in August 2026. The figure was the highest since February 2023 and exceeded market expectations of 8.1 percent. According to Anadolu Agency, which quoted data from Eurostat, producer inflation rose sharply from 5.8 percent in July. Producer inflation describes changes in prices at the producer level, before goods reach consumers. The energy sector was the biggest driver. Producer prices for energy rose 21 percent from a year earlier and were up 5.6 percent from July. Without including energy, industrial producer prices in the eurozone rose 3.4 percent on an annual basis and 0.2 percent on a monthly basis.
