Michael Burry says Microsoft uses spending metrics ‘as a lever’ to get its way

lcva2 Investor Michael Burry is questioning whether Microsoft’s (MSFT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MSFT]) massive spending spree is being driven by necessity, arguing the company may be using its financial figures “as a lever to get what it wants” while analysts have largely failed to challenge the numbers. He further notes that "the only reason the CEOs of these tech monopolies are spending wildly on data centers like they are is because they assume they will be granted an oligopoly that is too big to fail." [ ] @burrytracker Burry has recently argued that tech giants, except for Apple (AAPL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AAPL]), "are spending as if their lives depended on it when their lives clearly do not.
