A man was injured after a shooting involving US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents, New York City metropolitan police said Thursday. The shooting occurred at around 4 p.m. local time (2100 GMT) in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, which is one of New York's five boroughs. Details are still emerging, but the New York Police Department has denied that its personnel were involved in the shooting. "The individual who was shot is at a nearby hospital and is currently conscious and receiving medical attention," the NYPD said in a statement. The DHS is the parent agency of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) .
