North Carolina woman loses $22,500 after fake Microsoft pop-up let scammers gain access to her bank accounts

Youtube.com/WSOC-TV A North Carolina woman says she lost $22,500 after scammers posing as Microsoft tech-support workers gained access to her computer and used it to get into her bank accounts. Mary Grindstaff told WSOC-TV a pop-up appeared on her computer warning that there was a problem and directing her to people who claimed they could fix it. She gave them access to her computer, not realizing they were scammers.
