SPCX has inked a definitive agreement to acquire Grain Management's nationwide 800 MHz spectrum portfolio in a concerted effort to augment its position in the U.S. wireless communications market. The transaction represents a significant step toward expanding SpaceX's Starlink Mobile business beyond satellite-based connectivity into an integrated satellite and terrestrial wireless network. The acquisition includes up to 14 megahertz of paired low-band spectrum, which is particularly valuable for its wide-area coverage and ability to penetrate buildings and other physical obstacles.
