The agreement was announced after two days of talks in Beijing between Sefcovic and Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao, as Brussels seeks to address a growing trade imbalance with the world’s second-largest economy. Neither side has detailed how the export curbs would work. The EU has been considering safeguard measures, including tariffs on imports exceeding a specified volume.
