Welcome to Michael Kramer's pick of the key market events to look out for in the week beginning Monday 12 October. The coming week will be a holiday-shortened trading week in the US, with the cash Treasury market closed for Columbus Day. However, equity markets and Treasury futures will remain open. The week also marks the start of the main earnings season, with banks reporting and JPMorgan one of the week's main earnings releases. Meanwhile, US and eurozone CPI reports will give markets fresh inflation data, against a backdrop of rising interest rates across the US and Europe. Taiwan Semiconductor will also report earnings, adding another test for the market's continued infatuation with the AI trade.
