FTSE MIB Rises 0.87% to 51,261 as the BTP-Bund Spread Narrows and Technoprobe, Nexi and Inwit Lead Milan - BBN Times

Milan’s blue-chip index posted its third consecutive gain and one of the strongest performances in Europe, as a sharp narrowing in the Italian bond spread and a rally in technology and infrastructure stocks offset losses in Telecom Italia and Fincantieri. The FTSE MIB closed at about 51,261 on Tuesday 6 October 2026, up 0.87% from Monday’s close of 50,818.38, according to Milano Finanza and Borsa Italiana data. The gain of roughly 443 points made Milan one of the strongest major markets in Europe, ahead of the DAX 40 (up 0.77%), the EURO STOXX 50 (up 0.48%) and the CAC 40 (up 0.40%). The index opened 0.65% higher at 51,138 and accelerated to a gain of 1.15% at around 51,395 by 10:30 Milan time, near the session high.
